Nice to see your avatar back Dave. Interesting pics. Man those boats have some aerials and radar all over them!! I wouldn't have a clue what they are all for, but I guess sometimes listening in to the other nations out there plus there own subs, planes and boats, plus land stations... oh and satellites.

If they were American I imagine there would be a handful of protesters lurking nearby....

There was a protester standing on a box holding a "Free Tibet" flag at the entrance to the wharf on Sunday but a long way from the ships. Nobody took much notice of him

Those ships have weapons - something ours lack  If you are talking about what is behind the gun it's a HQ-7 SAM launcher. Tht ship was in Sydney fort eh IFR . I also has 16 350km Anti Ship missiles primairly designed to attack USN carriers |
