Navy updates Facebook page with Te Mana Seasprite operations

The Navy use their Facebook page as a means of keeping the families of deployed personnel, as well as the general public up to date with happenings around the fleet.

Recently they added a series of photos showing HMNZS Te Mana's ship's flight at work.

HMNZS Te Mana is currently deployed on anti piracy patrols.

No Dave, I didn't take them, I believe they were taken by Lt Chantal Berthold.

I haven't been an official photographer with the NZDF for 9 years, and I'm happy to say I am firmly ashore these days, my time aboard HMNZ ships is over (for now).

It's good that the navy show some of what the flight does on board though, the role of the RNZAF team who deploy for extended periods aboard the ships is often overlooked and not well understood outside of 6SQN.
