Welcome one and all, I have started this forum for those people interested in discussing New Zealand's prewar Air Force history, be it the people, the places, the aircraft, the events, whatever you want to talk about. If you have a query about the New Zealand Permanent Air Force; the New Zealand Air Force (Territorials) or the Royal New Zealand Air Force (1934-39) please post it here and we'll see if someone can provide an answer. This is a little known subject so may not be as well used as the other forums here, but if you're interested I can recommend a few books to read on the matter. "Tool Box On The Wing" by Geoffrey Ellis covers all three services well. "A Long Patrol" by James Sanders also covers No. 1 Squadron as a Territorial squadron and fully fledged RNZAF squadron very well. Also see 'Portrait of an Air Force' by Geoffrey Bentley and Maurice Conly, and 'The History of New Zealand Aviation' by Ross Ewing and Ross Macpherson for some background on these prewar services. Don't forget to check out our main website: www.cambridgeairforce.org.nzAll the best Dave Homewood Webmaster Cambridge, New Zealand

..and on the subject of books, I can thoroughly recommend "Tiger Moths and Butterflies" by Peter Norman. Fascinating story about an RNZAF pilot who flies Corsairs in the closing stages of the war.
