I expect to be arriving at Wanaka twon on the afternoon of Thursday 17th and depart north from there on the following Monday.
Anyone else staying at Wanaka over that time, perhaps we could arrange some sort of Forum meet-up one evening during the weekend.

I'll be wandering around wearing my Forum cap on Friday.
On Saturday and Sunday I'll probably be wearing the Gold Pass cap.
Would you like to meet up for a couple of beers and a meal in Wanaka sometime? Perhaps on Thursday or Friday evening?
I'll be in Westport over the next couple of nights, then at Fox Glacier for three nights, but should arrive in Wanaka mid-to-late-afternoon on Thursday.

I'll be in the Silver Pass stand for the 3 days but am staying in Queenstown so won't be going into Wanaka township at all. Will wear my forum T-shirts if the weather is warm enough! The weather leading up to the airshow is looking horrible and some aircraft may have problems getting to Wanaka by the Friday I'd say. Chewy - I'll be with Blair Price and we will look out for you. What happened - car accident?

I have been off work for a month with an as yet unidentified neurological disorder. I am losing the feeling in my legs. Getting harder to walk. Maybe all the stupid things i did when i was young have caught up with me.

Shit, that is not good Chewy, I am sorry to hear that. I hope they work out what it is, and can treat it. Have fun at Wanaka.

Sorry to hear about your health, Chewy.
The last couple of Wanakas I went to we went to Speight's Ale House and bumped into several show p[ilots on the Sunday, just an idea for you lot ;-)

Last show there was a "pub" right outside the Silver Pass area, so we didn't have to venture far for a beer! Sorry to hear about your health issues Chewy. Fingers crossed they get to the bottom of it.

If I can get some time I would like to meet up but I think Trevor and I are going to be really pressed trying to finalise prep. If I don't get to see anyone have a great weekend...... and pray to the weather gods...

Looking at the wx, drinking beer may be the option for the weekend Pete

You might want to stock up. None of the Wanaka bars have been granted a liquor license for the weekend, meaning they are restricted to standard Easter trading hours.
And the Warbirds event itself does not yet have a special event liquor license, meaning it might be dry...
Hopefully this will be sorted out in the next couple of days.
