I recall it's last voyage to Auckland in 1969.
That was sad.

Working on artwork in memory.
My fathers brother was transferred to the sister ship HMNZS Leander before the Battle of River Plate, as a petty officer in the boiler room, he died when a torpedo struck the cruiser in the Kolombangara action in the Kula gulf 1943.
