It's amazing to me how much there is still to learn about WW2, especially on the small scale. I was looking at a painting of Bryan Cox flying his Corsair on Ops on facebook and decided to see what else was on the art website. Came across this one of a Fleet Air Arm TBF Avenger whose turret gunner managed to shoot down a V1. Pretty good shoting and i'll bet the Avenger was going flat out! That is one hell of a feat due to the gun offset and limited traverse/firing arch, mind you I would not want to be on the receiving end off a 0.5 Browning, robot or human.

Apparently the gunner was "mentioned in dispatches" but hell of a deflection shot and with only 20 rounds expended.
