Hello - I've signed up to "Wings Over NZ" hoping to get an aircraft ID (type of plane) from a photo I took on Waikawa beach this afternoon (just north of Paraparaumu). I am having a little trouble finding my way around the Forum pages and hope I do successfully attach my image. I have used my Facebook address to post the photo to as this message board seemed to require an external image address. Cheers, thanks Charles

The link you have put in is your Facebook page. It appears I can't access it, probably due to the settings on your FB account. Would someone with a FB login like to look at www.facebook.com/SunflowerEnterprises ?

The only photo on that Facebook page appears to be balloons at the nightglow.

Hi Charles, I have my own facebook page but even the image link you posted does not show up for me. I get this error message:
This content is currently unavailable
The page you requested cannot be displayed at the moment. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page.
Dave Homewood uses FB for his recent images and it works for him. So there may just be something to learn to get it to happen.

Yep I get same message. Maybe your privacy settings are stopping us from viewing?

What you do is on your Facebook page, right click the photo, and click "Copy Image URL". Then come to the forum, and in the Create Post form, select "Insert Image". Paste the url link into the pop-up box, hit the Insert Image button, and hit Create Post. It should appear fine. Or you can look at our all new version of How To Post Photos On The Forum, which i only added two days ago after our version that has been up for seven years became defunct with the demise of the PlaneTalk forum which our thread linked to. You'll find the photo posting tutorial here: rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/21596/post-photos-forum-2014-version

Thanks again - yes I suspect it is/was my FB privacy settings. Have changed those to "public" for a time so hopefully the little plane will be able to be seen and not have flown off the screen!. cheers C

Well that is very strange as I have just rechecked my FB privacy settings and they are wide open at present and certainly when I click on the link above it does go through to that FB site photo of the plane . . . . . Not sure what else to do . . . .

I have opened my Facebook page and linked Baz as a friend and here is a link to a photo on Flickr as well . . . www.flickr.com/photos/124984627@N05/Getting it on Flickr was a mission too - I happened to try to log into my "old" account at Flickr but it appears Yahoo had taken it and me over and I found I had to open a new account even though I could see all my photos in the old account . . .!! cheers - still hoping I can get a positive identification of the plane! Charles
