It's been very well known in warbird circles that Connie Edwards had these aeroplanes (six Buchons, a Spitfire IX and a Mustang) in storage. It's good to see them up for sale so they'll see the light of day and be hopefully restored to flying condition again.

Connie Edwards is a bit of a "butterfly collector" when it comes to aircraft, those Buchons & Spitfire haven't been touched since the Battle of Britain movie completed filming in 1968.
Connie also has a couple of 'airworthy' Catalinas in his collection, one a PBY-6A (sitting behind that spitfire above) hasn't seen the light of day since 1986.

The Buchons have not been flown since the BoB movie, however the Spitfire was repainted and flown by Connie until 1973 when it made its last flight. There is a good photos on the Flypast forum of him flying it over his ranch in 1973.

I believe his son passed away and the plan was to pass the aircraft to him. Very sad from that point of view.

I saw the Battle of Britain at the old Savoy theatre in the corner of Christchurch square as a bright eyed lad, had a lasting impression on me, been into warbirds and old aeroplanes ever since. Just found this little clip on a model aeroplane forum I frequent, all I can say is wow! I also read that these beauties all sold recently.
Interesting hearing him comment about the Mustang, Spitfire and Buchon's different roll rates at speed.
