Some of you would have known about the Canadian built Lancaster KB976 which was flown to the UK in the 1970s for the Scottish Strathallan Aircraft collection. It was then bought by the late Charles Church to be rebuilt to flying condition at British Aerospace at Woodford. Sadly this came to an abrupt halt when a hangar roof collapsed on it. Now the aircraft is a bit scattered with all the wings witj Kermit Weeks in the US, the mid fuselage section in Australia and the rest still in the UK This website has a huge amount of photos detailing her service life and civilian life in Canada and the UK, plus photos showing her current state. I stumbled upon this link after seeing that the fuselage of KB976 now seemingly in one piece (it gets a bit involved believe me as KB994 gave her standard length nose to KB976 prior to leaving Canada to replace the longer nose she had in service!)
