Just been looking on the website for Breaking News 12 Chipmunks are going to fly in formation !!!!!! The beautiful Curtiss Hawk 75.... A Thunder Mustang is attending. This is a 3/4 scale Mustang that outperforms the original with a 400mph top speed!!! And of course this : In his second book, 'The Mint', an account of his life in the RAF during the 1920's, Lawrence wrote of his experience riding his Brough along a country road, and having a Bristol Fighter F2b aircraft from the nearby RAF base pull alongside him. A 'race' ensued, with the motorcycle rider and pilot obviously enjoying the experience. At Classic Fighters Marlborough 2005, this Brough vs F2b race will be reenacted, possibly for the first time since the actual event in the 1920s.. (taken from CAN'T WAIT !!!! TNZ

There are some really interesting projects at Omaka. Three P40's, a Yak 3, and the Hawk 75.
The place is really taking off again as a great aviation centre. I say again because prewar it had a lot of historic activity. I saw a great video at the Blenheim museum which covered aviation history and showed things like a DH88 Comet landing at Omaka, etc.
That Cricri thing looks just bloody scary though! I'd not a plne, it's a flying bicycle!
