The aircraft is an all aluminum 80% scale replica of the famous Spitfire. It is a seat aircraft powered by a 266hp Izuzu V6 engine with a Motec Dual Electronic ignition. The kit was professionally built by Robin Coss Aviation in Cape Town, South Africa. The are a professional build service mainly specializing in the Vans RV series. www.cossaviation.com/ . She is a beautiful replica of Sailor Malan’s aircraft (including his registration ZPA!) and was featured in the March 2012 edition of SA Flyer.
