Info Required for Pilot of 489 Squadron - POW

   I am trying to research any info for a wartime pilot NZ 413866 Lyell, C I - Clive Ireson.I have found some of his records on this site eg.member of 489 squadron during 1944-45.But any other info is sketchy and being from the West Island (Australia) trying to find any records is rather hard.
I believe he was a prisoner of War as I have his dog Tags (RNZAF) and his German POW Tag plus other bits from his time in the service-sweetheart badges , wings,cig cases,lighters,bracelet with name and a  number other items.Unusual to find items like this Australia !

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Simon - New member.

Died of a heart attack in Auckland 23 Aug 82.
