This one is an important read for Brits as well as we Kiwis. A British firend of mine two years ago didn't even know what Anzac Day was. Amazing.

This one mentions the song 'And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda' - that is such a fantastic ballad done to perfection by The Pogues. If you heven't heard them do it, seek it out. It brings a tear every time. It is on their album 'Rum, Sodomy and the Lash'

Here is a really interesting one - Gallipoli Death Rate 'Iflated'

This is about research by historian Richard Stowers, who's a local to Cambridge, living between here and Hamilton. I found this really interesting how he's tallied many more NZ'ers were at Gallipoli than ever thought!

I saw a copy of Richard's book "Bloody Gallipoli" yesterday. It is excellent. A really comprehensive book with such incredible photos throughout, and a real indepth look at NZ's contribution to the campaign. I would highly recommend it, and I haven't even read it yet.

Richard was also interviewed on TV1's breakfast yesterday btw
