Yes- what a great array and variety of craft - thanks for sharing the range with us!!
The DH88 Comet does look spiffing!! She had high compression ratio Gypsy Six's for the MacRobertson International Air Race, a race between London and Melbourne in 1934... Only 5 were ever built and three flew in the same race. G-ACSS Grosvenor House was the winner.

Hard to believe that a Desoutter (like G-AAPZ) also managed to fly from London to Australia. Not quite as racey looking as the Comet, but two Kiwis did it in 1934!
