Great shots of Cb there! - and some congestus. Thanks for sharing, I am enthralled with weather, being a farmer's son and I have had a weather station for 9 years now with a website and webcams. You have the best "seat in the house" there for watching large cloud forms. I was flying in 2000 from Sydney to Singapore on board a Quantas 757? and it was nighttime over Darwin or thereabouts when turbulence hit us a bit and then we had a lightning strike on our port wingtip, passing out through the static discharge wick. A bit scary at the time - it didn't seem to trouble the plane, all electrics stayed on and we carried on as normal!! Quite a few on board were asleep. I was enthralled like a young kid!! leter, on our return flight direct from Jakarta to Sydney, late afternoon this time, you could see the Cb's all getting lit up like cotton wool with a moving, flickering lamp inside them - fascinating!! Glad it was further away this time!

Ahh The storm that got away from me. I nearly wet my pants running to the car while it was striking very close to my house. I raced to the city (Sydney) to try and get a shot but it turned and went out to sea.
