I saved a History Channel program about him awhile back, a real good watch, one of my 'prized' catches, I really admire the man and all he did and gave to us all. He was a giant in aviation flight-testing IMHO, in his era, and he was just so 'down to earth with it all' too ~ Sadly missed and R.I.P from me ...

I believe he said you could 'put a coin on one of the ailerons & it would tip and slide off as the other aileron came up', the set-up was so well constructed...
