Avenger for New Zealand

It looks like there's possibly going to be an airworthy Avenger coming to New Zealand if a syndicate can be raised. They're looking for investors with $10,000 to $15,000 per syndicate share.

Its one of the former waterbomber avengers from Canada - should be an excellent investment as these machines were immaculately maintained and have excellent documentation etc. Now I just gotta win lotto....

Yep, I think you need one back to replace "Plonky", which is now flying in US colours up in Qld.

I love the Avenger: such an ungainly looking thing, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I think they look lovely, especially in full military kit. And the RNZAF colour schemes in my opinion were the best, much more colourful and interesting than USN schemes. Plus the bonus of a selection of neat cartoons to choose from too.

I really hope this group succedds in bringing one to NZ.
