This image by Cioplea Vlad was one of the ones chosen for the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards.

While I like the subject matter (Yak52s) I looked at things like the stopped props and I'm sure I've seen better photos on this forum of the NZ Yak formation team doing their big finale break. Does anyone have any that are just as good? (or even better). Perhaps we could petition the competition judges to reassess.

One wonders if the judges haven't seen a lot of aviation photography by people who really know what they are doing.
