Is anybody going to play this game? If so did you play Hearts of Iron 3? I played a little a bit of the second game in the series . The third game ran painfully slow on my old laptop so I was never able to give it a could go. In the previous games New Zealand was a playable country.

Nope! "'Cos When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things."

You are therefore a very fortunate man sir; no hobbies learned in childhood (which is where, the sociologists tell us, the 'seeds of interest' are sown), and absolutely nothing 'childish' to distract you from your day-to-day activities. Congratulations are in order, as you are indeed a very rare breed, but one has to wonder what DO you do with your 'spare' time (ie: that time when you are not at work), and how DO you avoid being 'contaminated' by any 'interests' you may have had as a child? (Serious question BTW).
Thelensofhistory: Sadly, I can't help; presumably you have tried the various game forums?

Ahhh....sociologists, those people of limited intelligence who couldn't get into University to do a real subject, but having failed to gain any knowledge of their chosen topic presume to tell anyone dumb enough to take them seriously how to live their lives. I see no hobby in childish computer games which require no ability to think, because they entertain a very small part of the brain. Pooh Bear would have loved them. Fortunate? Yes indeed I am, but not for any reasons you might understand from your somewhat erratic non-observations based on absolutely no knowledge whatsoever.Your not a Sociology 101 student are you? Congratulations? Yes, I am unique, but then aren't we all? Contaminated? Nah... I gave up self-flagellation many years ago, once I realised it was not what it was cracked up to be!

In view of your erudite response, what more is to be said, except thank you.

Those actually familiar with the Hearts of Iron series will find a certain comic irony in the suggestion they require "no ability to think"...
To the thread originator, I would suggest Komata's idea of trying the simulator/games forum elsewhere on the site here is a good one, it does appear to have some threads of non specifically aviation related content?

Ironic indeed. Could a moderate move this thread? I am still finding my way around the boards.

The game is still in Alpha. So it's still early to make a judgement call on how it will turn out. Still judging from what I have seen the game looks promising.
