We visited the exhibition this week. Quite amazing, the huge figures are lifelike with dirt and flies. Each figure is of a named NZ Soldier.
The story boards and featured items are easy to follow and the campaign is covered as you progress through each room. A very moving experience.
At bottom Te Papa June 2015
The various attacks and retreats are shown by a moving light display over a 3D model
The figures are totally believable
Miniatures show the breadth and depth of the trenching
Maori machine gun section showing Rimihana Parkeen and Friday Hawkins
Nurse Lottie Le Gallais
Flash photography was banned hence a few blurs on the pictures
And I think by the end even the camera had a few tears in its lense.
A very moving experience and really recommended
