Hey guys, The Australian Vintage Aviation Society - TAVAS - has this week flown their Achim Engels-built Eindecker, which flies with a rotary engine built by Tony Wytenburg and co at Omaka! She's a beauty: I asked pilot/TAVAS founder Andrew Carter about flying it on Facebook and he said "Torque is not an issue - not even noticeable. The aircraft is quite stable and very positive and controllable in all axis. Amazing for a 100 year old design." Look up TAVAS on Facebook for some more photos, I'm at work so can't link to it. Congratulations again to Andrew and TAVAS, Achim and his craftsmen and women, and Tony and CAMS. Now to get over there and see it fly!

Interesting comments as I had heard a fair bit about what unstable pigs the Eindekkers were to fly.
As well as Tony's input, don't forget a fair bit of work was done on this aircraft by another WONZ member, Dave Lochead. Well done guys.
