It was mentioned elsewhere that the Pioneer hangar will be off-limits, so people will understandably have to wait to sneak a peak of the new projects. Other items of interest: The new T-28 will hopefully be on static? I assume the Spitfire Mk XIV hasn't flown south yet? It would likewise be great to at least see it on static with markings complete.

Teaser from Warbirds FB:
I saw NZ6370 and NZ6372 out today. Great day for aviating, lots of activity at Ardmore this afternoon.

Yeah, Ardmore is just on the edge of the rain. At least the wind is basically down the runway!
I'll head over shortly, I don't mind giving Warbirds money to look at the Sabre. But this might be the day that I finally go to the NZ Navy Museum (my partner is going to a movie that I don't want to see).

Not currently raining! Fairly still. Entry by donation (rather than std $15) Blunties can't operate on wet runway, but Sabre and T-28 on display

Well done to Brett and Charles and their team in getting all three ex-RNZAF Strikemasters up together for a public display, this is fantastic! I hope I make it along next time it happens.

It was a real highlight to see all three Blunties being preflighted and then taxi out in stream. Definitely something special to witness.
The Sabre was another (static) highlight, ditto the new Trojan and a third, OD Bird Dog. Fox Moth APT and Bell 47 ICJ did roaring rides trade which was great to see - I saw a few very young faces fly by in the Bell!
Without wanting to take anything away from the other pilots, Gavin Trethewey's display in the Spitfire Tr.IX was superb. As I said to Errol, Damon and Glen two words kept coming to mind: flowing, and restrained. A real joy to watch.

Well the day went much better than I feared when I woke up and looked at the rain radar. At least I was excused dog-walking duties! Most of the wet stayed north of Ardmore, which didn't help Peter much.
