NZ Army's First Commander in Vietnam Has Died

I heard earlier today on the Radio New Zealand news that the NZ Army's first commander in the Vietnam war, a Colonel, has passed away aged 86. However I cannot recall his name from the report, and I cannot find any reference to it on the news sites, including Radio NZ's site.

Colonel (Retd) D.R. Kenning MBE, RNZ Artillery, passed away in Palmerston North on Tuesday, 26th May, 2015.

Don Kenning commanded 161 Battery in South Vietnam from June '65 to June '66.

161 Battery was the first NZ Army unit to go to South Vietnam as far as I know.
