I thought I'd start a thread where we can share and discuss our own current aviation history projects. After all, there may be others here who can offer help or info to your project and don't know you're even doing it.
I'm sure my own two seperte projects are reasonably well known here now.
The first is the Wings Over Cambridge website, in which I am endeavouring to record and share the history, details, memories and photos of Cambridge people who served in the wartime Air Forces in WWI and WWII, with some assorted side projects attached. You can see more on the website, which is the result of the project but continues to grow and change as the project continues.

My other project is I am working on a book about the men who served in the various General Reconnaissance and Bomber Reconnaissance squadrons and units in the RNZAF in WWII. This is obgoing, and really still at earlier stages of the project compared with the Cambridge research. But I am pleased to say I have been recording a lot of amazing stories and memories from veterans, and I think it will make quite an amazing book when compiled simply because the memories and the facts, anecdotal and official, make such an amazing story.

So, what are you researching? Have you got a research project?
I know one or two of you already have websites and projects - Calum with your excellent Skyhawk site, Pete with the brilliant RNZAF WWII Pacific site, etc. I'd like to know about your projects.
What are the most amazing discoveries you've made?
What are the bits that are aluding you? Can we help?
What are your plans for the future? What other areas do you want to expand your research into?
How will you publish your findings, on the web, in a magazine or in a book?
Are any of you recordig veteran's memories directly?
If anyone has questions about my projects, fire away too.
If you are working on a project, please do share on this thread. I'm sure it could turn into a really interesting and very benficial thread for our projects.
If you do not have any research on the go, would you like to start a project? If so, what takes your interest? Can we help or advise? post here.
