On the cover of Ted Harvie's book "George Bolt" (1974) there's a great inflight photo of a replica of the first ever Boeing aircraft, two of which were operated by the Walsh bros school.
Inside the book cover it states it was built for the 50th Anniversary of Boeing.
Does anyone know who built this? Where was it built? Where is it now? Does it still fly?
Did it ever visit NZ at all for any Walsh Bros anniversaries? It's be fantastic to get it out here for a season, or perhaps a certain Blenheim collection.

As I recollect, it was built by/for Boeing at Seattle and flown only there. Certainly never visited NZ. Currently in the Seattle Museum of Flight.
