As a bit of a fun build, I have just built a 1/72 Special Hobby Hispano Buchon "Movie Star" kit as "Red 10" from the 1969 movie. A nice offering actually with some photoetch in the cockpit and a little resin for the exhausts and a choice of standard or clipped wings (as used in the movie Buchons to try & replicate ME109Es). Markings include fictitious "Yellow 15", "Red 10" or "Hurrischmitt in RAF Polish markings (representing long-shot RAF Hurricanes in the movie).

Nice model of a what I could imagine a not often modelled subject, love movie that watched it that many times!

Love the Buchon! I've personally done G-BOML (circa 1992) in 1/48 and 1/72, so it's lovely to see another. Top job! Those exhausts in particular look like lovely mouldings.

There's a very busy "fan club" on Facebook for the Buchon...it's called "Real Messerschmitts Have Merlins"! There are a few builds in various scales to be seen.

I had been looking for a good 1/72 kit of the Buchon for sometime too.

The Buchon appears to be quite a significant warbird in its own right

Tempted to do a spitfire IX to go with it
