According to Radio NZ's 1200 bulletin toady (16 September 2015), 40 Spitfires staged a a massed flypast over London on 15 September 2015, as part of the Battle of Britain Day commemorations. It was apparently the largest 'congregation' of Spitfres to occur since WWII.
As I haven't been able to locate any footage of this unique event, can I ask anyone who has done so, if they can post it (or at least a link) on the site; 40 RR Merlins in a small space just HAS to be memorable...

No guarantees! And the people there probably have access to TV replays online. But I assume it will end up on YouTube sometime.

It's all over Facebook at the moment. It looks to have been a superb event. Also today's Warbird Radio Live show on Warbird Radio had some great coverage of the event from Stephen Bridgewater reporting from the UK. www.warbirdradio.com
