One of the advantages of having nippers was the ability to go and see this with a scone-grabber at the cinema, definitely a good laugh - the wee ankle-biter nearly enjoyed it as much as his old man

Its a cool film! I was at Oshkosh in 2013 when the film had it premiere in "theatre in the woods", unfortunately with about 15,000 people packing in standing room only I decided to give it a miss then! I have since watched it with a kids group I work with. Great fun. I think I was the only one who picked up on the line "Does a PT6 have a multi stage compressor?" - The others looked at me weirdly when I yelled "yes, it does!"....

A great film but I personally think the sequel where he became a fire fighter is even better.

On my shelf ... the sequel will join it, after all 'Planes' is based on fact that I'm still a kid!

I'm ashamed to say I still haven't seen "Planes: Fire And Rescue", but I'm proud to have dragged Sam along to the cinema to see it in 3D. Breathtaking! One of my all-time favourites full of great little cameos. Did everyone else see the Sea Fury and high-back Mustang?
