There is a tune that I have in my head and know well enough, but i haven't a clue of what it is called. It is heard often at ANZAC Day commemorations, and featured heavily in the funeral for the Unkonwn Warrior in 2004. The tune is usually played by a military brass band, or civil brass band. It is reminiscent of the style of Nearer To Thee My God, and I'm certain it is a requiem of some sort, and undoubtdly connected to the military as it's often heard at Anzac Day. It's solemn and sad. I wish i could hum it through the net ;D If you have any clues or ideas, I'd love to hear a title so i can look it up and see if it's the one I'm thinking of. I did find this page with music from the ceremony for the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior but it's not included here www.nationalwarmemorial.govt.nz/unknown/sound.html

It might be Handel's "Dead March from Saul" which was played in the funeral procession, or "Highland Cathedral". Sgt Murray Mansfield is the piper.

Thank you Colin. It's not Highland Cathedral, I know that tune. I assume it was Murray Mansfield who played Highland Cathedral last year on the RNZAF Band tour when i went to see them in Te Awamutu. Fantastic it was, I'd trade two U2 tickets to see that band again (if I had any...)
I am now looking into Dead March from Saul. Thanks for the suggestions.
