Well it's coming to the end of the year and I thought I would post a taste of Uk Airshows in the Summer of 2015. It's been a mixed year. Some aircraft made their UK debut, such as the magnificent P36 of The Fighter Collection and the simply gorgeous Seafire III from Bentwaters, that crept in under the radar as it were. The events later on at Oulton Park and Shoreham, would cast a long shadow over the rest of the season.
So we start at Duxford for the Spring show. Highlights are the Hawker Fury and the Mustang in it's new Shark Mouth scheme.

Later that day it was a quick dash over to Old Warden for their evening show. Highlights were the BBMF flying a Spit and Hurricane with the DH 88 Comet Racer and the Magnificent Mew Gull.

Moving on to June, work did it's best to get in the way of time off so I only managed to get to Cosford for the only full RAF airshow of 2015. Sadly serviceability and weather scrubbed a couple of the main attractions in the last few days before the show, so no Ramex Delta Mirage 2000N team from the Armee de l'air and no Polish AF Mig29 . The weather closed in just in time for the flying display but the RAF museum were to be commended for dragging out an aircraft from their collection of special and in many cases unique airframes. This year it was the turn of the ill fated, but thankfully preserved, TSR-2.
THe Controversial and hurriedly cancelled TSR-2. If you don't know about it, Google it. A lesson in political meddling and waste if ever there was one...oh wait we did it again later with 2 different variants of Nimrod (AEW3 and MRa4)not to mention possibly picking the wrong F35 variant....wait I'm going off on one.
