Outstanding work, sorry to change the topic but does anyone know if there is any artwork of Ventura's out there somewhere?

clint, Maurice Conly did a few, I first found his paintings in the Contact magazine, there was one of an aircraft being bombed up, and another of two Venturas on a bombing mission. I don't know of others, although there may be. Ian S C

Dave H, The January 1944 cover shows a B-34 Ventura! However Maurice has not captured the subtleties of the rather graceful engine nacelles too well which may have thrown you. However the belly gun position cannot be denied, and same comment applies to the double-hinged bomb bay doors. The lack of underwing Yagi aerials (which all operational B-34s possessed) may have further muddied the waters. Incidentally the August 1945 cover showing a PV-1 would seem to have been sketched at Emirau, judging by the types of trees in background. David D
