This may be a very simple question; hopefully the answer is simple too! Is it possible to order threads on a page so that those with the most recent post are at the top (stickies excepted?). The way threads appear to me, if I open up a subject area (e.g. wartime RNZAF) to look for the most recent post listed on the home page, I have to scan down through many threads (which are in random order) to find the one that's most recent.
Cheers.

rnzaf.proboards.com/posts/recentrnzaf.proboards.com/threads/recentI always access this site by the use of a bookmark to the recent threads. It takes you to the last page of a thread at least but yoou have to scroll down to the bottom. The HOME and END buttons speed that up considerably. I am not sure if it answers the question but I don't have any issues browsing the site.

I'm not aware of a way to view a board/sub-board in any order than by most recent post first - they are in the order of the date-time in the 'Last Post' column. The only time I can remember seeing a list of threads in another order is after using the search function.

apteryx, I am a bit puzzled by the way you see the pages because the way the forum is set up is to display the most recently modified thread at the top of a board and all below that in chronological order getting older as you go down the page. There should not be a randomness to the layout at all.
Perhaps you have some setting ticked wrongly in your personal account settings? Or maybe it is how your browser interprets it? Do you find the same issue if you open the forum in another browser?
Does anyone else experience the same problem?

Can you send me a couple of screenshots of different boards please to show what you're seeing? Email me at dave_daasnz@hotmail.com
Thanks.

Sounds like he is going to a thread at the beginning which of course will be the very first post. I do know some forums you can show this in reverse order (as in last post shown first).

Hi Dave In terms of forum I confirm the most recently modified threads do appear at the top of Board/sub board [Safari/Egde/Firefox/Opera/Chrome]. H/w once you go to the particular thread I've always found it opens with the original/earliest post and I've had to click to the last page and to the bottom to find the latest post. If there is a setting in my profile that reverses the chronologiclal order (at thread level so I see the most recent post first and at top) then I'd be interested to hear where that setting is? Although a bit counter intuitive, I could see it might come in handy to follow certain threads i.e. the infamous C-17 thread. O/w I'll happily continue to read as I have followed over the years. Really appreciated how you have managed the forum and community by the way cheers

Ah, my mistake. Despite including a comment about stickies it seems I hadn't being paying enough attention to them. If I scan down past the stickies (and there can be quite a few of them) I do see the most recently-modified post first and then on in reverse chronological order. Was it always like this or has something changed with a Windows 10 upgrade? Not sure.
Anyway, apologies for sowing confusion. Hangs head in shame ....
(macnz's question about showing posts within a thread in reverse chronological order is a good one, though.)

Hahaha, no worries. And yep, it's always been this way. One thing you cannot blame Windows 10 for.
