Airfix 1/72 Avro Lancaster (new tooling)

I built this kitset last year to give to my dad for his 70th birthday. He built the old tooled kit for me back in the early 80s and it was a kitset that remained with me for almost 30 years.

I had a lot of sentimental memories of the kit he built me, so I wanted to build something that would hopefully mean something to him. He was blown away when I presented it to him.

Airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with oils and pigments.

Bravo! I have the some kit and, until the Tamiya 1/32 Mossie, it was the best-fitting kit I've ever come across. Superb job - and lucky dad for having it all to himself!
