Le Musée Mémorial de la Bataille de Normandie

After leaving Paris I travelled by train to Bayeux to see the Normandy beaches, before doing the tour I went to visit this museum, but with my usual impeccable timing, I was there on a day that it was closed. However you could access the foyer where there was this display







and parked outside there were these items

Is that Douglas Bader's Spitfire, the one he had the tail shot off by his wingman??

That (the Spitfire) must a be a new exhibit. I was there in July 2015 and it wasn't there then.
