Have you gamers seen this? www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?16452-Just-Flight-DH-104-Dove-DevonQuote: "DH Devon C20 RNZAF: This is a unique variant of the Devon, built specifically for the Royal New Zealand Air Force. It is fitted with a large navigation Plexiglass dome atop the fuselage and a big viewing bubble in the forward starboard window. The wings are dominated by two three-mast aerial arrays mounted on the top surfaces and below the nose is a long tube which houses the 'LongWire' antenna, a navigational training aid."

Yes. I just got it as it is currently half price at a couple of places. Haven't had a chance to look at in detail yet.

Looking at the photos of NZ1803 it looks like a good rendering although the spinners look white and they were the same grey as the wings and fusleage in service.

Just to be clear, the RNZAF never possessed any such thing as a Devon C.20, and NZ1803 was officially known as an NT.1 (for Navigation Trainer). RNZAF Devons (in their various iterations) were not built to Air Ministry (or Ministry of Supply) specifications, but to RNZAF ones, which is why they had more in common with civilian Doves than RAF/RN Devons. However DH's in the UK did eventually adopt some of the features included in Ministry of Supply specifications and incorporate them into civilian models at a later date, such as stronger mooring hardware, and nose-wheel towing features. I have got that model for my FSX, and had previously flown another version. The cockpit details are not true to the RNZAF configuration and look they are based on the RAF version. Additionally the engine sounds are also not quite right. for the previous FS2004 version I swapped the sounds for the DH Comet (prewar one) and those engine sounds are much more akin to two gipsy queens. Otherwise the model flies well and I current have around 5 hours flying on it

Do you Flightsim folks keep "flying" logbooks with all your hours?? or are you meaning 5 hours on the real Devons Paul?

Dave , I think you would love this Flight Simulator , Yes you can log and real time, real world weather within FS limits , the fun thing is get enough people on board, a multi-play one being a air traffic controller in the tower (that is his real job for real) , you can use actual IFR/VFR charts - really gets to be a lot of fun.

Hi Dave,
one of the great things about either FS2004 (FS9) or FSX is that you can log all real time flying hours on what ever aircraft you happen to select and fly. Each flight in a type is added to that type and updates your overall flying hours. In my case there is something like 140 Andover hours (FS2004/FSX) 80 hours C130 FS2004/FSX and currently with the ND UH1-H around 7 hours. Have also downloaded a A109LUH and now have around 3 hours. I fly the aircraft in max realistic mode so unless you adhere to the limitations of both the pilot (i.e. your's truly) and the aircraft then crashes will ensue!! I often fly IFR flights and these can also be logged
