Anybody here ever built a Bowers Fly Baby? www.bowersflybaby.com/
I have a set of pans and have been trying to do some homework on the different types of woods available in NZ to build Wooden Aircraft? Surely there must be someone local who's used something other than Spruce?
Any comments or advice would be much appreciated and welcomed.
Thanks

Try Colin Hay, who has a hangar at Oamaru airfield.

Thanks very much Peter.
Does Colin actually work at the airfield, or would I have to catch him over late afternoons &weekends?

Great Stuff. Thanks Dave,
I have come across an interesting article by a gentleman called Drew Fidoe. It has given me a whole lot of helpful information, but speaking to someone local who has already been through the process and knows where to get "good quality" aircraft grade woods will help a lot.
Thanks
Jason
