I share with you photos of one of the most curious designs of the Luftwaffe during World War II. I'm talking about Junkers Ju-287 and its unusual design. If it had entered into service and built in quantity would have changed the course of the war? What do you think? Visit the link below, you will find it a lot of photos and a full report on this almost unknown aircraft. I hope you enjoy. aviacaoemfloripa.blogspot.com.br/2011/01/blog-post.htmlBest Regards!

The Ju 287 was a very long way off reaching anything like production status, with the Germans, that is. The Russians captured the second prototype, which reverted to the Junkers project name EF 131 and modified it with the help of captured German scientists. A further Russian development was the OKB-1 Type 140, which incorporated Klimov VK-1 engines, reverse engineered Rolls-Royce Nenes. It was all for nothing because by this stage (1947), the design was obsolete; which says something about the original premise.
