The FW has been grounded which is a real shame (still have yet to see the type fly after the two times at Omaka...). Oh well, plenty more to see

Yikes, not a good situation to lose the canopy on take off. Poor Steve must have gotten a fright. Bits falling off just before an airshow? Yep, proves it is a Flug Werke and not a Focke Wulf like some Aussies have been claiming.

Great pic's I love the lines on the stair truck and the fins! The "stair truck" is called air stairs. It took 4 years to restore these ones as they were very rusted out in the frames. We were only working one day a week on them, when we could. They were manufactured by Hastings Deering in Sydney and are powered by a Ford 4 cylinder OHV motor. Later versions used a Ford Falcon 6 cylinder motor. cheers, CC
