I think there are still lots of B-52's in service, it's still the USAF's most important strategic bomber, and they are constantly operating over places like Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan at the moment. There's a programme being developed to change their engines to extend the fleet's life past 2040, and it's likely some of the fleet will make 100 years old before they retire they reckon.

Wikipedia states "As of January 2013, 78 of the original 744 B-52 aircraft were operational in the U.S. Air Force."

There are some airframes in the boneyard, been when they last re-activated one, they swapped over several avionic systems from the airframe it replaced.
