Reports coming through of a P47 crashing into the Hudson after having engine problems.
Sounds like the pilot (unnamed) didn't survive. RIP.

There was a short segment on TV 3 news (1800.00 hours) last night, showed A/C being recovers from river.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought it referred to a Hudson bomber, not the Hudson River. I was quite confused.
