Pacific Wings magazine from February 2007 notes that DC-6B c/n 43128, which was highly significant in NZ aviation history having served with British Commonwealth Pacific Airways (an ANZUK airline), then with TEAL (which became Air new Zealand) and then with the RNZAF, was recently broken up at Chandler, Arizona. Only the cockpit exists now.
That's a great shame indeed, a hugely significant plane to our history, lost.
Does anyone know if the other two ex-BCPA/TEAL/RNZAF DC-6's are still around?

Yeah, one is in South Africa, still extant and possibly being restored as of info from 2003.
