Not sure if this is the correct place to look for this , I am looking for copy of an article I know was in an old Wings Magazine . I definitely have a copy of the magazine somewhere but I have so far been unable to locate it . One more of those things I put in a safe place for use later , which will only be rediscover when I die and my house is cleared ! The article in question is about Smithy's Fokker Trimotor and the differences that were apparent with it on the three occasions it made it here . I would like to complete a 1/72 kit of it as it was when flown off Ohope Beach .

Have you searched the Pacific Wings online archive? It goes back to the early 1970's.

No I had not , thanks untold for that prompt as it enabled me to find and get a copy of several of the articles in that issue , which are probably the best written on the subject .

This was possibly written (and/or drawn) for the AHSNZ Journal many years ago by the late Rex Crawford, and perhaps also found its way into Wings. I think the inspiration for this article was one of the Anniversarys of the crossing of the Tasman in 1928, so search around about 1978. David D

Correct on all counts , it was a 50th anniversary and probably the most important article from my point of view was the by Rex .
