Some of us have busy lives out here so lets not have any "letting anybody down" talk until we see what we can come up with. Johonnyfalcon and I actually talked this afternoon and Friday night(19th) would be more suitable. So far Teresa and I, Johnny(and your wife Johnny?) and Don and Sharee are starters. If you are interested we need to know by the end of this weekend as we want to book a table at the Harvard Cafe so we need numbers. Email me at baz1962@gmail.com with your username and real name . Or just confirm you are coming on here. Johnny will let me know the time but I expect it will be around 6:30-7pm mark

Good man Baz, well done for stepping up, and the rest of you too. I knew the Christchurch gang wouldn't let the side down. As for that Auckland lot.... where's your WONZ Wingman Brunch going to be?

That's right folks, just as the man said, step right up! We have about 8 coming to support this noble cause at the moment and there's room for another dozen or so. If we can make 10 then we use the "Billiard Room" at the hallowed ground of the Officer's Mess in Wigram on the old airfield, could you think of anywhere more appropriate? For $38 per head you get a three course meal and exclusive use of this room, while waited on by bar staff - Friday night of the 19th around 7:00 pm. We need names and numbers by Monday night (15th) please to confirm with the proprietors. Cheers and beers to you all

So the Cambridge WONZ Wingman Brunch has eight forum members attending at this stage. Anyone else?

I would like to wish those who are hosting one of the meals all the best for doing so. A great concept that I hope will raise plenty of funds for the Wingman Trust.

Currently we are at 7 people with a couple more to confirm. Any more keen? We don't bite (well pretty sure we don't)and you will be among people who love avaition and the Air Force (with some who served in it. Any fans of the A4 can chat to Don as it's hard to get him to shutup once he's started ha ha ha. (Beer slows him down a bit....) Cheers Baz

We had a splendid gathering here in Cambridge at lunchtime. We had ten people all together (for some reason Graeme Sutherland and his wife never showed up). However we did have me, Bruce MacDonald (eieio), Kerry Carlyle (fockewulf), John Wall (WWII Spitfire pilot), Les Bilcliff (camtech), Andrew Taylor (Shooter), Marcus Duvenage (Marcus), Ian Bisset, Evan Yates (hardyakka) and Brett Nicholls (nicholb). Here are some dodgy photos. Many thanks to those who came along, I really enjoyed the conversation and chance to have a relaxed social event with fellow forum members and aviation people. And a huge thanks to the contributions to the cause too. We raised $210 for the Missing Wingman Trust.

Oh cowshit! I so much wanted to be there - I was geared up stupidly for Sunday, I don't know how or why!! I have had a bottom jaw toothache (booked for coming Wednesday), dentist on vacation as well as a sinus inner headache too, so struggling with the head this week. Also sorting out a $240,000 urgent project at Kinleith, just approved two weeks ago and installing in 2 weeks time. So my mind has been under a bit of a strain. 10 Folks there - WOW! And Leanne and I would have made 12. I have transferred some money through to Dave anyway despite my absence! Sorry Dave, and sorry to those I wanted to meet and share about the Typhoon Project too. I had the photo pinboards and logbooks all ready to bring along. I hope you all had a fabulous afternoon and great food!

Sorry you got confused and missed it Graeme. I'm sure there will be more of these events in the future. We have the Te Atatu Forum meet coming up in a month's time.
Thanks for sending through that money, this now means we raised $250 for the Missing Wingman Trust. Nice work!

Hey all. Well it was a modest turn-out - a number who were keen had other commitments and Skyhawkdon came down crook, so he and wifey didn't make it. Nonetheless, 6 of us enjoyed a great meal and social time in the Harvard Bar at Wigram. I brought along an appropriate 'money-tin' which Baz took responsibility for, in which there should be something like $120. We were leaving when it was realised no pics had been taken, so a hurried attempt was made by Theresa - don't know what the results were like though...
Good excuse for a catch-up and a good cause to support

yes low numbers but it was a great night! Ok only the one photo but form left we have Justine (Johnnyfalcon's wife) Johnnyfalcon (John Fallon) Baz62(Barry Tod), Agile (Alex Ligget one of the Ferrymead lads) and Obiwan27 (my brother Ken Tod) and av8rsm8 (my wife Teresa) behind the camera. I think I'm grinning as I'm secretly going to spend the money on Auster parts! Yes we raised $120 so once I know who/where to send it I'll forward it on. Just noticed the name Harvard over my left shoulder. Good product placement! EDIT: So I just use the Missing Wingman Trust donation facility on their webpage?

Hi Baz, I have sent a message to Tim Costley regarding the money, hoping he can send us a bank account number. I'll let you know what I hear back.
Note also the word SKY behind John. (part of WHISKY)
You should be able to finish off your restoration with $120 I guess?

Well done team, sorry we couldn't join you. We both picked up nasty colds on the flight(s) home from the UK and mine is a dusie. Still miserable as and the antibiotics aren't doing a damn thing.
