Did anyone who attended see the bare E.111 fuselage there on display? As you'd expect, I studied it very thoroughly. Then I ran back all excited and grabbed Bridgy to show her. She looked at that and said "damn, you could build that easily !!" "It's no different to the aluminium coffee table at all !!". Hmmm,...thinking now, the Eindekker might be easier and cheaper to build than the Nieuport.

Where was that displayed? Is that part of the Jackson/Tantrum collection too?
I saw the Triplane with no wings after it's oops, but that was away from public gaze (thanks Damon!)

It was displayed near the Dominie (Rapide?) behind the main stands. It was just a bare tubular frame all assembled. I'm kicking myself for not photographing it !!! I was surprised how easily put together it was, ie just alloy tubes rivetted with gussets. It's got me doing some $$ sums at present........

I'm sure an extra Eindekker on the scene would be welcomed!
I personally wouldn't go for a Nieuport anyway because I've heard they are terrible to fly, very very difficult I hear.
I examined the DH89 several times but never spotted the Eindekker. I guess because the DH89 was such a thing of beauty, I've never seen one looking so pristine. Well done Mandeville and SouthAir on its restoration.

That's the Swiss Air one isn't it. It was neat alright.
I've also heard that E111's are a pig to fly too !!! ;D
