Last night I was reading an excerpt from Alfred Kingsford's nook 'Night Raiders of the Air', which is reprinted in Jim Hopkins' book Words On Wings. Kingsford was a Kiwi who flew night bombers in WWI, and wrote two books about his experiences. Apparently only one other NZ'er wrote about his WWI Air Force experiences. And All three books are rather collectable. Having read the small excerpts in Jim's book I'm very keen to find copies of Kingsford's other books. Anyway one bit mentioned him flying HP-400's. I was inspired to take the photo I took of the beautiful model of such a bomber in the Omaka AHC, and digitally enhance it to create a scene. This is quick and nasty, not much time spent on it really. Mainly because my Photoshop program has a problem where it shuts down after every five minutes and turns the computer off! I need to reinstall the whole program but don't have the disk. It came from a legit disk too! Here is the artwork (with credit to one of Gavin's Fokkers) How do I make photos look like paintings in Photoshop?

If you are after a paint effect using Photoshop, there are any number of effects you can use, the best thing to do is just use filter drop down menu and experiment, check out the artistic/brush stokes and sketch sub-menus in particular, its just a question of trial and error to achieve whatever effects you are after.
