An unusual sight at Whenuapai today: According to the Aviation Safety Network, this DA40 suffered substantial damage in a forced landing at Cipatat, Padalarang, West Java on 28Oct2008 while with Susi Air. Anyone know why it has suddenly popped up in NZ?

It's been in the Hawker Pacific hangar (now Warbirds) at Ardmore for a few years. Not sure why they had it but I'm guessing either for rebuild or parts?

I don't know if this will help, but about 5-6 weeks ago it was behind the No.6 Squadron hangar (at Whenuapai) on the back of a truck. But about 3 weeks ago it moved and I haven't seen it since. P.s I don't know if that helped but I though I would share the info anyway.
