On Tuesday evening just before 7pm, an aeroplane flew over Cambridge. It was headed towards Hamilton. It was very slow, and sounded a lot like a Dakota. As it was pitch black sky all I could see where three white lights (wingtips and tail). They didn't flash.
Most of the planes these days have a red and a green or blue light on their wingtips that blink, and often a white strobe under the belly. This lead me to think the large and slow aircraft I saw was old.
Was it a Dakota? Do they take the Dak up at night these days?
