Hi Ian, just downloaded this updated version. Magnificent! will have to transfer my extra textures across from the previous version. Would like to see an RNZAF WWII/post-war texture IDC

Hey ya tbf25o4, , It has really come into its own, this DC-3 base off the original FS2002/4 model really has come a long way, I have been tinkering around with paints, Once I have sorted some plan and approach to the layers .. really I create my own .. give me a nudge which aircraft specific you want painted .. maybe the entire Squadron history.

Hi Ian, as co-author of "DC-3 Southern Skies Pioneer" I have more than a passing interest in the C47. From an RNZAF paint scheme choice, NZ3501 in the standard delivery scheme circa 1943, would be a good starting point. This aircraft holds the distinction of being the one that was in a collision with a Ventura north of Whenuapai on 21 March 1945. With almost 12 feet of the port mainplane ripped off, the pilot Lawrie Bade flew the aircraft back and landed safely at Whenuapai. The only occasion where a C47 has continued to fly with that much wing missing. Post-war NZ3551 in the colours carried during the Queen's visit circa 1953. More interesting cheat line and wording on the fuselage than the more common later scheme. NZ3546 could be another choice, if the drogue and astrodome could be portrayed. It was also a pioneer in its own right being the first RNZAF C47 to fly to the UK, one of the first on the Japan Courier and served with No.41 Detached Flight in Malaya.
cheers Paul
