Looks like the Air Force have decided these are good recruiting grounds.
@nzwarbirds: RNZAF confirm attendance of T-6C Texan II, SH-2G(I) Seasprite, A109 & Beech King Air B200, static display at our Ardmore open day.

Like like clear skies for Sunday according to Metvuw. Sadly it looks like I will not be able to attend.

Fantastic out here today. We have the RNZAF Harvard and the Mynah. The Blunty is out, several Tigers too.

Brilliant photo Errol. For the record, the BE2e was re-registered ZK-VCM on 16/5/17, anyone know the significance of VCM??

Thanks area51. Ownership also changed to NZ Warbirds (rather than TVAL). Victoria Cross Medal?

Top photos Errol, especially of the BE! How did the crowd react to it?

And a bit of "inside info" on the Pitts v McLaren race...
Being a "newby" to Facebook Live... I didn't realise that it would use the selfie camera on my phone so it recorded everything in reverse... the McLaren isn't left hand drive and we weren't stuck in 2nd gear!! Dave said we made about 270kph before we slowed down.

I was unable to get to this event so it is proving difficult to put together the Airshow Archive entry for this one, particularly as very few photos have been posted. Can those who were there please take a look and add info and corrections? www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/Airshow_History_2010s.html#2018

The B.E.2 is now ZK-VCM The Catalina is ZK-PBY One reason for lack of photos is looking into clear skies with a low sun. There was a yellow Piper? that I've deleted my few photos of as it looks lousy backlit. I'll load a few more tonight, but doubt they will add much. www.flickr.com/photos/errolgc/albums/72157681666134873/Static (when I saw them, I left after the first display): Chippie WK551 Fox Moth ZK-APT Beaver (not WKA, it flew off early) Ryans ZK-RYN + ZK-BEM ZK-TAF was parked behind some Mustangs :-) The McNair Mynah was on show in the old Warbirds hangar. You also might want to note the Bristol Freighter was brought over to the eastern side of the apron for the event.
