Quite the inspiring photo album! Now I know which Bird Dog I'd like to build when I get a model kit...

Realise this is perhaps a little touchy and don't want to offend if so, wondering what the story on the Yak3 that was damaged is there any news on her future?

Thanks Errol - I flew in and out on ZK-CIE with 47 others - a long day but back home via family in Hamilton that night. CIE has great leg space, great stopping power on landing and was a delight to fly in. Thanks for you pics - I never saw the helicopter lineup - perhaps after we left! Or on Sunday? Wonderful memories Errol, and thanks to Geoff Soper as well, for his fab pics!!

I’m surprised the report repeatedly uses terms like “ last minute “ regarding the timing of the cancellation of the USAF display. These reports usually use more precise language don’t they? I assume the exact time would be known and it shows whether they gave themselves time to plan and brief the change in routine.

I assume the exact time would be known and it shows whether they gave themselves time to plan and brief the change in routine. Maybe the timing of things is in dispute, and they have been arguing about it for two months? This is the CAA report, not the TAIC one, don't know how much of an impact this has on the precision of the language?

Thx Errol. Yes I was reading as if was a accident investigation summary. Likely explains the non technical language.

It will interesting to see any insurance company's reaction to the content of that report.
